Yesterday, Kristin placed a small tree upon our hearth, with the full knowledge that this would quickly pose a challenge for our youngest cat, Kona. It soon became too much to resist.

Within minutes, Kona was climbing inside the branches, knocking down ornaments, a real demolition derby. Originally, there was another garland on the lower branches, which she also dragged to the floor.

Finally, she got herself hung up on a branch, no paws on the floor, dangling in space. Although Kona eventually managed to extract herself, that temporarily ended the fun, and the damage.
