Weather Cam
Today, the Atlantic Coast states are experiencing "the last winter event," or so all the TV weather people have been saying for the past two days. Yesterday was to begin with rain, inches of it, afternoon thunderstorms, and "significant" snow by sunset. Well, not quite.

Here is how it looked this morning, a day later. Last evening, a light rain began that continued until around 3:30 a.m., and my new rain gauge accumulated 0.23 inches. Then, when the temperature finally dropped below freezing, light sleet took over. At dawn, we had a thin coating of frozen sleet on the back deck, but paved surfaces are still too warm. And, there are four frozen deer seeking shelter beneath our distant pine trees. You have to look carefully. One is standing.

Today's forecast is now for up to five inches of snow, but I'll let you know, perhaps with another image.
